Governance

How the Alliance is governed.

A clear structure of bodies, responsibilities and control — a condition for institutional credibility and for the path towards Chamber of Commerce status.

Bodies

01

General Assembly

Brings together all members. Approves accounts, activity plans and changes to the statutes.

02

Board

The executive body. Runs the Alliance's activity and answers to the General Assembly.

03

Supervisory Board

Oversees financial management and issues its opinion on the accounts.

04

Council of Chapters

Brings together the heads of the national chapters and coordinates the network's activity.

Chapters and local representation

Each chapter is led by a Country Chair, appointed by the Board. The chapter runs its local activity — events, news, members and partners — within the Alliance's common framework.

Central control

  • Domains, trademarks and data are owned by the central structure.
  • Local representatives do not hold domains, emails or databases.
  • The departure of a representative does not affect the chapter's continuity.
  • Regulations, code of conduct and membership categories are common to the whole network.
