The European Business Alliance is a business association in formation. Its purpose is to facilitate the international development of European companies and to represent their interests before institutions.

The model is that of the international chambers of commerce: national chapters with their own local teams, a common platform, and a set of services with a defined scope — market studies, partner searches, business agendas, trade missions.

**What exists today**

Portugal is the first European chapter. The services are defined, with their scope, deliverables and boundaries set out. The governance — General Assembly, Board, Supervisory Board and Council of Chapters — is established.

**What does not exist yet**

Most of it. The chapters in Spain, France, the United Kingdom and the other markets on the roadmap are not open. The member directory is not open. The Honour Committee has not been announced.

We say this plainly because an organisation that is precise about what it is not yet is more trustworthy than one that is vague about what it already is.

**How to follow the Alliance**

Registration is free and open. It gives access to the Alliance's market intelligence, invitations to its events, and notice when the chapter in your country opens.
